BPC-157 / GHK-Cu Capsules Research Overview
This capsule product combines two research peptides that are frequently studied in parallel in tissue-repair and extracellular-matrix research models.
BPC-157
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) based on a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protein found in human gastric juice. It is notably stable in gastric juice.
BPC-157 has been studied extensively in rodent models of gastrointestinal mucosal integrity, tendon and ligament healing, and wound repair. In-vitro work has examined its effects on tendon fibroblast outgrowth, survival, and migration, and research has explored its interaction with angiogenic and nitric oxide signaling pathways. Most published evidence comes from preclinical models.
GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) with a high affinity for copper(II) ions. It was first identified in human plasma, and its circulating levels have been reported to decline with age.
GHK-Cu has been studied in fibroblast culture models for its effects on collagen synthesis, and in research on extracellular matrix remodeling involving collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans. Gene-expression analyses have suggested that GHK may influence the expression of a large number of human genes, and it has also been examined in models of antioxidant activity and tissue repair.
