SLU-PP-332 Capsules Research Overview
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ, and ERRγ), with the greatest potency at ERRα. The ERRs are nuclear receptors that regulate genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism.
Often described in the literature as an “exercise mimetic,” SLU-PP-332 has been studied in mice for its effects on oxidative muscle fiber types and exercise capacity, and in models of metabolic syndrome, heart failure, and the aging kidney.
